In making this change (I had been using a Tresemme product, which I had no functional complaints with) I have not lost any of my desired effects. I have medium-textured hair without a lot of body. I use this gel on slightly wet/damp hair, comb it through, and blow dry for my style. What I do like better about this product, versus the Tresemme I was using, is that it seems to “control” more softly. I run my fingers through my hair and the gel is unobtrusive. Sure, a bit more $ $ , a tiny bit, but so much more worth it in knowing what ingredients I am not being exposed to, and not contributing to an animal-tested product.
