My hair started to thin a bit as I got older and this tends to thicken it up. Also I have been struggling with some scalp conditions such as redness and irritation(itchy). I think it was due to the harsh and drying chemicals that most shampoos use such as sodium lauryl sulfates. This shampoo seemed to have really helped. I will say one thing tho, I have noticed that it is best to really rinse out your hair before applying this shampoo. It seems that if hair is not rinsed out first the shampoo will not lather that well, and may result in some buildup. It also smells like pine sol, haha. It really doesn’t bother me, actually wakes me up more in the morning shower. Just rinse it all out and you won’t smell it the rest of the day. 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: This works really well with the GPB Conditioner. If I want extra cleansing, I just lather twice., September 29, 2010 By This works really well with the GPB Conditioner. If I want extra cleansing, I just lather twice and make sure my hair is soaked. It does lather much better the second time, but you don’t need a ton of lather, just enough to feel it foam throughout while massaging it in. I really like this shampoo because it contains quillaya bark, a natural saponin for cleansing. Aubrey used to make a Quillaya Bark shampoo, but now you can only find it in the GPB shampoo. I’ve tried many of their shampoos and I like this one the best next to the Evening Primrose shampoo. My hair’s natural color looks better than with SLS shampoos, which tend to make it dull and show grays in the underlayers. Mediocre At Best, September 29, 2011 By Vennligsinnet (United States) – See all my reviews This review is from: Aubrey Organics – Gpb Shampoo, 11 fl oz cream (Misc.) The store was out of my usual shampoo so I took a risk and tried this one out. Well, I gave it a fair chance and waited until I had gone through the entire bottle before posting my review. I’m pretty disappointed in Aubrey for this one, they usually have premium stuff. This shampoo left my hair feeling dried out and frizzy and it almost never left it feeling clean. The shampoo itself has the substance/consistency of most shampoos except that it doesn’t spread and distribute well through your hair. It ends up just kind of staying on the top of your head no matter how hard you try. It smells kind of flowery but has an odd sort of scent that lingers after the flowery smell is gone. I can’t quite pin down what the scent is but it’s weird and certainly doesn’t smell clean. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this one, Aubrey has far better shampoos in their selection for you to try. |
