My Thoughts:
I first tried the Purity Made Simple cleanser in early 2009, and keep going back to it even though I have tried a few others since. Though it tends to leave my skin a bit red if I leave it on too long, this cleanser seems to be the only thing that consistently clears up the clogged pores around my chin that pop up when I wear makeup regularly. I usually use this product following a quick scrub, like a conditioner for my skin. Any redness or irritation clears up fairly quickly, and it leaves my skin feeling very soft and smooth, without drying.

Though this product has not been reviewed specifically on the Cosmetics Cop website, the following is their brand review of Philosophy:
Strengths: Relatively inexpensive; some of the best products are fragrance-free; very good retinol products; selection of state-of-the-art moisturizers; skin-lightening option that includes sunscreen; great lip balms, including those with a tint; impressive specialty makeup products
Weaknesses: Irritating and/or drying cleansers; average to problematic scrubs for face and lips; at-home peel kits far more gimmicky than helpful; most sunscreens contain lavender oil; several products include irritating essential oils; insufficient options to manage breakouts; the majority of makeup items do not rise above average status.
