Review:
7 Day Scrub Cream Rinse-Off Formula rinses decently, but may still require use of a washcloth for complete removal. It also contains polyethylene as the scrub agent, and is an option for normal to slightly dry skin not prone to blemishes.
Here is the Allure Best of Beauty Review for Hall of Fame Winner – Clinique 7 Day Scrub Cream Rinse-Off Formula:
Powerful without being punishing, this fragrance-free facial scrub has won a Readers’ Choice Award every year since 2004. Much of the credit goes to the polyethylene buffing beads that distinguished it when it came out in 1996. “At the time, most other scrubs were still using things like ground apricot kernels to polish the skin,” says Hammer. Unlike those coarse materials, polyethylene beads smooth without scratching or inciting redness. Plus, “the scrub’s creamy base makes it especially good for the winter months, when skin tends to be drier and more sensitive,” says dermatologist Ranella Hirsch.
WHAT IT IS:
An exfoliating cream
WHAT IT DOES:
Sloughs off dull, dead skin cells
KEY INGREDIENTS:
Polyethylene beads (smooth)
HOW IT FEELS/SMELLS/LOOKS:
The white cream feels grainy, like sand, and has no odor.
WHY WE LIKE IT:
Even though it’s grainy, it’s gentle; it can even be used every day.
AWARDS:
Best of Beauty Hall of Fame 2011; Readers’ Choice 2011, 2010, 2009, 2008, and 2007
