Quick, smooth application and two excellent colors (best for light brown to blonde brows) are strong points for this needs-sharpening brow pencil. The pencil has a soft tip, so requires light pressure or short, feathering strokes through brow hairs for best results. I wish the finish didn’t remain tacky on brows because it can feel and look a bit gummy, which may be why Benefit included a spoolie brush at the opposite end of this pencil to smooth out the problem application. All in all this pencil is below many other superior options from dozens of other cosmetic companies.

We saw Benefit Instant Brow Pencil’s creamy crayon tip and thought, Too smudgy! But it enhances sparse brows without making them look obviously filled (and no, it’s not too smudgy at all).
WHAT IT IS:
A pencil to fill in sparse brows (shown here in Medium to Dark)
HOW IT LOOKS/FEELS:
One end has a soft crayon-like tip that glides on easily; the other has a brush that resembles a mascara wand.
WHY WE LIKE IT:
Sometimes brow pencils can be too waxy, but this one is nice and creamy, so it’s easy to use, beefing up brows in seconds. Plus, the brush on the end is a smart idea—it’s perfect for grooming wayward hairs.
